Pixel Marina! I saw @theskywaker post this image and I KNEW I had to do a Perler art of it! I changed the design just a teensy bit to work better with the colors I had and overall, I’m in love with how it turned out! I’m off to do pearl soon!
shout out 2 artists who got harassed and bullied regularly because they wouldn’t give ppl free art, teach them how to draw, who had people who would only try to be their friend to get free art
shout out 2 artists who got their sketchbook taken away by teachers, their art torn up and ruined, who got otherwise punished cruelly for drawing in class
shout out 2 artists whos boundaries were never respected, who had people snatch their sketchbook away and rifle through it without asking, who had people that would get up in their personal space to watch them draw even when it made them visibly uncomfortable
shout out 2 artists who’ve just in general been treated like shit and have stayed strong thru it ya’ll are awesome
dont forget that a lot of young developing artists are told by older people on a regular basis that “art is not a reliable career” and its a “waste of time” and they should be focusing on “real work”
so yeah also shoutout to artists who kept drawing despite putting up with people always trying to tear them down and deter them from doing it

i guess i come across as a bit harsh on hetalia in general, but don’t worry, the only thing i really hate is DEEN and their old art.
